View Full Version : PBEM opponents wanted
Hi, looking to play anyone in SPMBT.
I've got slots 1,4,5 open.
I prefer larger modern games, but will play anything.
I have some house 'balancing rules' that I will suggest, but will play with or without them.
If you're interested, shoot me a PM with any of your preferences, slot #, etc. and I can set it up, or you can, or whatever.
Thanks!

Hello Pepper.
I have all my slots open.
Feel free to set up a game for us.
Be sure to let me know which version we are using.
I have all of the various versions, this is not a problem.

I'll take Slot 1, please - if it's still available.
Send it over (V 3.1)

Win:SPMBT is FUBAR, alas! You still getting the same errors? Have you tried running this by the CAMO guru's over at the Sharpnel Forums?

Hello John.
Thanks for the game.
We are progressing just fine.
That's too bad about the video. If its any consolation to you when SPWW2 came out I had to spend over $140 dollars to upgrade the 486 so that I could play email. SP3 also.
In the end the spcamo ww2 game wouldn't run on the 486.
It kept crashing for animations and with each crash came the chance that the game would not start up again.
I had one of the camo people hold my hand thru an install process. It was an eye opener since I had never used the computer up until that year. :D Don is a cool pro and never complained over the 2 week period and consecutive nights. So that alone guarranttees I will buy one of their games that I don't care for. [MBT is automatic since it is SP2 improved] Despite this we could not get the game to run indefinitely. Many opps also had crashing during animations etc .. but in hindsight if I knew then what I know today then I could have written the address to the cdrom for dos mode etc ..
:bored: Oh yeah so there is hope, eventually,
Gus

Thankfully, it will run in a Window - but at my age, that's too small to be viable......... or enjoyable.
My 15Mg video card just isn't up to the job - I bought this machine back in 2001 (stone-age, eh?) and am enough of a cheapskate to have bought an "entry-level" package, at that. I didn't need all this fancy new 3-D video rubbish as I don't play shoot 'em ups - I just wanted to be able to run SP:WW2!!
Cheers,
John (who feels a new PC purchase may be in order before too long) :whist:

Pepper,
Do you still have only SP:WAW? If you've acquired SP:WW2 in the meantime, perhaps we could have a game?
Cheers,
John

Thanks, Dano.
Slots 0 and 1 of SP:MBT are free (NB - not WIN:SPMBT, which is U/S).
No free slots on SP:WW2.
Do you fancy a classic WarPac/Nato, Arab/Israeli or something else?
Or are you replying to Pepper? :)
Whatever - cheers!
I only have Win:SPMBT... Sorry John! :(
ps this game is NOT graphics intensive ... I would think even a 16 MB card would work. Check the requirements in the help file and then around on net and ebay, I bet you could get a card that would run WIN:SPMBT perfectly fine for under $20. You'd also notice an improvement to your other computer uses -- e.g. Internet.
Id be open to a WinSPMBT game, I have slots 2 3 and 4 open. bison24@gmail.com email
