The WinSPMBT Island Civil War has come to an end with Rebel Forces laying down their arms. After weeks of heavy fighting and under sustained assault on 2 fronts by local Government Troops and substantially better armed United Nations Forces the Rebel Commander issued the following statement.

To all Comrades!

Our glorious fight against the imperialists and their puppets ended. Despite the support of the people, we did not achieve our objectives. Foreign armies invaded our land, and installed their puppet government.

To end the terrible suffering of our nation, we decided to lay down arms. Yesterday our forces ceased hostilities, and started to turn in our weapons to UN forces. From now on, they will protect the people against the tyranny of our government. I call on all of your units to end fighting, and surrender to UN forces. From G, you may leave Westward, under the protection of the international forces.

Our leadership accepted the generous offer of the friendly Cuban nation. But when the political situation will change, and the Revolution will triumph all over the world, we (or our sons) will return, and free the nation!

Farewell to all of you,

Gen. Katusa,
and the leaderhip of the Revolution
NOTE: The Secure Team Forums will be open to the Public soon so everyone can follow the Campaign from beginning to end.

If you are interested in participating in the next Combat Campaign, NATO vs Warsaw Pact - May 1985, you should check out the coming announcements and details concerning that Campaign.

A Poll will be set up in the coming days for those interested to voice their preferences about what unit/side and command level they would like to participate with.

Just wanted to say that I enjoyed the campaign thoroughly. I think it helped develop my SPMBT skills ten-fold during the duration of the campaign. Lots of different battles, with very little forces.

Reserving my forces, whilst inflicting as much damage as possible was the key. Just make sure I`m signed up for the next on.

Great fun, and certainly showed the potential of the campaign idea in WinSPMBT.

Oh, and could I forget, thanks to DD for organising this for us. Excellent work!

I'll second that. Double Duece you went far above the call of duty to present that. I hope that it enabled you to fine tune your craft. I have a feeling that you can't wait to get your hands on that new editing pack on the CD.

I also wanted to take a chance to thank Double Deuce for allowing me to play in the campaign. Every battle I was part of was fun to play and challenging. I hope to take part in the next game. Thanks DD.
