Over at IGN:

It will focus various Special Forces groups....so deviating a bit from the whole tank/vehicle thing - which will be interesting. New gear includes - grappling hooks, zip lines, tear gas, flashbangs, night-vision goggles.....
No changes to the commander mode though.
Due fall of this year.
Eh. I haven't looked at the preview yet, but well... tanks are where the fun is at. I really don't like the damage modelling and a few other mechanics of the infantry combat personally.

Really? Regarding the infantry combat I have pretty much the opposite ideas. I love the damage modelling - many great experiences that have gotten my heart pumping are from hiding behind obstacles, recieving heavy fire, reviving my teammates, and healing myself...if it were more realistic (more damage for guns, more accurate, etc), I wouldn't have those experience. Especially in places like Mashtuur City I think the damage modelling and infantry combat rocks.
Hmmm...sounds like you don't like the game Overseer...you know, I could take it off your hands for ya - wouldn't even make you send the CD's ;) :p
I think my problem comes plugging a guy point blank with half a clip and having him kill me. And I can't consistently figure out the hit boxes, sometimes something will seem to register as a headshot (the game does have headshots right?) and other times it'll be like I shot the guy in the foot (even though the bullet should have gone clearly to the head).
Edit -
I think the thing for me is, the game doesn't seem like its comfortable at the infantry level. Something about the scale just doesn't fit right to me. Maybe it's just because of how huge the maps really are, but even when you're in close quarters (like in a stairwell fight an enemy) they never seem like they're visually as close as they should be for the actual distance.
Double Edit -
No. You're not getting my CD key.

Well, and I have heard complaints about that....but I haven't really experienced it. I know it does take 1/2 a clip at 2 feet to kill a guy, but rarely do I feel like the engine has cheated me out of a kill.

Was worth a shot :p - and the search continues....
