when playing toaw sometimes you can experience a crash during a scenario due to a bug or whatever it can be particularly frustrating to have to stop playing a game due to such a crash.
such a crash occured in one of my game against edd morris from the blitz ladder, hopefully he found the way to salvage the game.
he has written how to do so in a doc file which he kindly offers to the community enjoy!!

A number of observations;
A chain of events which was part way through- say, if there was a delay or a turn range on an event- will be interrupted by this method and you'll have to do your best to patch it back together in the editor. Make sure you do this- for example in Europe Aflame if the USA declared war on a particular game turn, record that turn then edit the events with a delay from that event to have them occur on the appropriate new game turn.
The only changes that have to be made to replacements are to the start and end dates, which should be alterred in the same way as events.
Contrary to what the document says, the scenario file contains 'inherent' rail, sea and air transport settings for the two forces (this fact was used to save events in Europe Aflame). No further action is required by the players to ensure these remain constant- just make sure to modify the events as instructed in the document.
Obviously, there's a fair bit of work involved in this. But if you've been playing the scenario for 100 turns or whatever, it might be worth the effort.
