It's a monster scenario but truly a magnificent work, one which I have not yet been able to play all the way through. Anybody up to resist a German invasion?
I'm going to regret this...
I'll take the challenge. Send it on, when you're ready.
LOL!
Xandamere, did you become part of the Raver-Hive-Cluster ? ;)
How many Monster games are you playing ? A few Götterdämmerung, some 2WiN, some FallGrau and now DNO ?? :devious: :surprise:

I'm joining the Hive-mind Raver crew! Summer vacations are a beautiful thing :)
I currently have 4 games of Gotterdamerung (1 has been on hiatus for a while due to the absence of GunnerC), 4 or 5 of Fall Grau, 1 of 2innorm, 1 of some small WW1 scenario, and now DNO. Let's rock!

So if you wanna one more or some1 else want to play the busy one and need a lazy counterpart to click end turn for you in DNO, pls let me know :D
Also pls let me know which version to use or send the files together to:

Forgive the antispam encoding, though since the emails are listed on the ladder, any bot worth its code will find it there too...

Sorry ER...playing the Axis side in DNO takes ages (I've spent about 2 hours on my first turn for my game with Jamiam so far, and I haven't initiated my first combat phase...although it does get better)...I don't have quite THAT much time on my hands :)

ER's statement about the Soviet side is a myth. Even though through the first four turns much of the Soviet equipment is orange-lined, it can take forever to dig in and set loss settings. Although the Soviet turns do take about half to a third the time the German side takes, it is still longer than any other scenario I've played. Even the slow turns take two hours.

LoL...it usually takes me at least 2 hours just to conduct the overruns and exploitation movement for one of the Panzergroups. First turns as the Axis usually run me between 20-24 hours of game playing time.
Yes, I agree, playing DNO as the germans is really really rewarding if done right, the challenge isn't to destroy the soviet frontline units , the challenge is to destroy them while racing all mobile formations east at full speed, taking as few losses as possible, having clear objectives and keeping the soviets off balance for as long as possible ! I've played a few DNOs so far (sadly none was finished so aI dont have any informations about the end-game) and I have to say that James first 4 turns are really devasting !
When I opened my turn 4 I see german panzer have already bypassed my thin defence between Orsha and Vitebsk, racing towards Smolensk, strong mobile forces (at least some strong elements the 18th and 10th PzD, 29th MtzD and an unknown infantry regiment) have crossed the Dnepr River at Mogilev in force, threatening to attack the southern Smolensk flank or swarm into my Hinterland.
most of his AGS forces have now reached my Stalin Line and started pounding my poor defenders.
AGN is closing in on Velikiye Luki (spearheaded by his SS Totenkopf and 20th PzD), meeting only sporadic resistance.
This is going to be a tough game !

Which means it would take me about 30 - 40 hours, and about 2 weeks straight if I had to play it at home.. (Daddy, she punched me! Dad, he's copying me! LOL, I got interrupted typing that part out because there was a mini-war at the table as they ate their McRaunchies... Ironic)

Right, Axis turn 1 sent out Jamiam...let me know if you don't receive it, I've been having some problems lately...a couple of my opponents have said they didn't receive my latest turns.

Got it. Will get to it later tonight. We've got this damned heat wave up here in the Bay Area and when the mercury gets tough, the tough take naps...well...I do, at least...;)
