Greetings, and welcome to the Europe Aflame - Interactive Combat Story! Our goal is to guide the two powers, Germany and her allies representing the Axis nations; and Great Britain, the USA, USSR and their allies representing the Allied nations, through the course of World War II.

To participate actively, please begin by choosing a side. You will play the part of a General for that side, and will have the opportunity to vote, submit advice and criticisms, and make your opinions heard to your fellow Generals, and even the Supreme Commander himself.

There are three types of threads in this forum:

1> Allied threads,

2> Axis threads, and

3> Open threads.

Axis and Allied threads are clearly marked in the thread title. Open threads are either marked for both sides, or, in the case of older threads, denote no side whatsoever in the thread title itself.

Basically, it's just a matter of a little common sense. If you are Allied, don't read the threads which are clearly marked as Axis, and vice-versa.

Alternatively, if you'd prefer to just follow the progress of the story, and not actively participate, feel free to read all the material that is presented here!

Most information that will be presented to you is self-explanatory, but we do have Round Table discussions from time to time. The following is an excerpt from the first AXIS Round Table discussion, to give you the idea of what is happening in such cases:

MEMO

TO ALL AXIS GENERALS:

The Supreme Commander of the Axis Armies invites you to take part in a round table discussion concerning all Reich military matters. From time to time, you will be called upon to submit (i.e. post) your opinion in your own words about specific operations. The Supreme Commander will present the operation, whether on-going or impending, providing a full compliment of intel reports, sitreps, deployment status, reserves, and other vital data in order to give you the clearest picture possible. Since this war has taken us all far afield and your opinions must be transmitted, decoded and studied, Time, the enemy of us all, becomes an issue. If you procrastinate too long, your suggestion may come too late and the war will go on without you.

All opinions are welcome. There is no way of telling which option laid at the feet of the Supreme Commander will in fact be selected. As we know, his mind does not work like those of normal men. His genius is not always evident; however, your arguments, if presented logically and forcefully, can sway him. Once he has read your suggestions and made a decision, you will be informed of that decision.

Signed

X

Secretary to the Supreme Commander
Allied Round Table discussions will be the same, except they will be clearly marked as being for the Allied side.

There will be various reports available for your perusal, including information from SIGNAL and other sources. (Click here (http://www.strategyzoneonline.com/forums/showpost.php?p=257738&postcount=12) for an example of a SIGNAL report). As well, the Supreme Commander himself will make appearances in your side's threads from time to time. Generally, any time you see a post from the Europe Aflame user, you are reading something 'official'.

Just head on over to the latest AXIS thread and get involved in the discussions there. You're honour-bound not to peek at the Allied threads though. :D

I'll see you there, I'm with the Axis!
