I've not done a very detailed report for this one as mainly the whole game for me as germans was to delay, block and counterattack when I could. The most significant part of the battle for me was around turn 6 when I decided that I would lauch an attack towards Pegasus bridge to cut off the British paratroops and lauch an attack from North Caen to coincide with it and see how it went. As it went well for me and in taking Pegasus bridge and my attack from Caen was getting some traction I decided to keep hammering away in the same two areas until I either got too weak to continue or I reached the ocean.:) In the end it was enough to keep my opponent out of Caen and keep him off balance in the sector for the remainder of the game. Viridamaros did give me a scare when he bridged the river east of Caen and south of Pegasus and crossed some units behind my lines but luckily I was able to contain and eventually mop them up.
In the west my strategy was to build up around Valognes with a defense somewhat in depth but try to keep a few units back to defend the Cherbourg area. In the end my opponent tried to go north along the coast towards Cherbourg but was too late in the game to succeed.
In the center it was just defend and delay as long as possible.
In the end it was and OV for the germans and another great battle with Viridamaros and I feel the vicious counterattacks I did in the east really set the tone for me.
Have included screenshots from the German turn 6 when Pegasus was captured.
