Punkbuster Update Issues?!

Although I haven't even installed BF2 yet, I'm curious about a possible problem with BF2's most recent update. A coworker of mine can't join a server now because his BF2 was autoupdated incorrectly or something, because now his punkbuster is preventing him from joining any servers.

Anything out in the ether about this problem? I want to avoid this when I'm "active" tomorrow night!

I'll check it out in a bit, I'm in a poker game so I haven't been on BF2 today. If I get a chance I'll let you know if I run into any problems.
