Well, I decided to upgrade my system, so I went out and bought a new 500W PS, a new Chaintech Mobo, an Athlon 64 3200+ with HT, and an E-VGA NVIDIA 6600 PCI-Express card.
Unfortunately, the mobo requires a 24-pin power connector, which my new PS conveniently does NOT have!
Anyway, I'm just going to have a coworker (Chaim Krause) put it all together for me, then use my old parts for a dedicated server!
Will keep you up-to-date on the haps!

That's almost the same set up I'm looking at except I'm going to use the Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe for a mobo and a 6600 GT so I can use duel vid cards later. The A8N has a 24 pin slot for the PS also but I've read you can still use a 20 pin PS without any damage. There is a adapter you can purchase that will take you from 20 pin to 24 if you don't want to chance it. Best of luck!!

To be able to do this, your vid card(s) MUST have a power connector! Chaim found this out last night - my vid card requires power from the mobo, so it MUST have the full 24-pin connector! Don't fall into the same trap I did!
Anyway, taking the power supply back today and getting my $100 back! Chaim's going to see if he can find one with a 24-pin connector this evening, and hopefully I'll have my new system in time for my day off on Friday! :D
There is a adapter you can purchase that will take you from 20 pin to 24 if you don't want to chance it. Best of luck!!I believe there is only a 24- to 20-pin adapter. IOW you can use a 24-pin power supply with a 20-pin motherboard with the connector. There is no reason to use a 20- to 24-pin because a 20-pin will fit in a 24-pin socket and power for the other 4 pins is not available from the power supply regardless of any connector you might use.
