Hello Everybody.
Looking through the AAR section, I see a lot fine pictures of maps and situations from the game. How can I make pictures like that?

Please help a novice.

Not to scold, but this post would probably be better directed to the general board. Since it's already here, Mantis directed me to this site: http://gboban.hypermart.net/staker/

Where you can get a program called Screentaker, which worked well for me.

Saved me the trouble, Xandamere! :D

*This thread has been moved from the AAR forum *

No worries - this is why I get the big bucks...

No need to DL anything. Windows already has everything you need. just hit the printscreen key (above insert on standard us keyboards) and then open paint and hit paste. then save it as a jpg.

For a smaller picture; re-size the window to the desired size (make sure the window is active) and hit alt- Printscrn. This will copy the smaller window to your clipboard and you can paste it into Paint or Photoshop or whatever.

Now who can tell me how to attach the picture to a post on this forum? :TRUCE:

At the bottom of the window you use to type your text in for a post, there is the header Attach file:... You can only add certain types of files (listed under the 'browse' button).

Also!

You can only add 1 file per post, so if you are writing an AAR, and have already attached a pic for that post, you have to submit the post, then 'reply' to your own post to be able to add another file. If there is any confusion on this, go check out the AAR forums, and you'll see what I mean.

alternatively with multiple copies of paint open and a bit of manual resize/cut&pasting you can combine multiple shots into a single image.
