War in the West is almost ready for takeoff!

We're in the final planning stages, and will be putting a signup sheet up as soon as time allows!

We'll be using a Knock Out format this time round, so no team play. Players will be required to play both sides of a given scenario, but against different opponents. Their 2 scores are averaged, with the highest points players going on to the next round. The final round will consist of the top 3 players battling to determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

The amount of players signing up will determine the number of rounds we require, but we're looking at 3, and 4 if we have the players. Remember, the majority of players will only be in for 1 round, perhaps 2!

Scenarios are:

2WiN
Bastogne 44
Sealion (latest version - 2.1?)
Market Garden 44

We'll announce anything else relevent as it comes up.

(The next tourney will go back to a team format using the new rules we incorporated some time ago).

When you get the final versions determined, can you please attach them to this thread (or linked to a scenario page) so that we are sure to all be playing the same games. There are a lot of versions of 2inNorm that are floating about out there, and at least two completely different scenarios that are named Bastogne '44.

I will be receiving a new version of 2WiN from Brett sometime soon, and it will be made available to everyone prior to it's use in the tourney.

Keep a watch on this thread!

I might actually have to try this tourny, seeing that it isn't team play(i don't play well with others;)) and at the worst it would only be a two game commitment,so it doesn't sound very time consuming either.Might even get to meet new and interesting opponents on the board...or maybe not:p

Well, you could end up playing 3-4 maps, if you were stomping everyone and ended up being the winner... The top 3 positions will consist of players that have completed an identical number of games.

I find me stomping anyone highly unlikely:) Though it does sound fun.
