Good luck to you Hassel, it's Turn 8 of me vs. Viridimaros and he already has an allied overwhelming victory :dead:

A "medium competent" german player will not lose Cherbourg and Caen on the same game... :hush:

Well... a "medium competent" allied player will not be able to take both cities on the same game... :whist:

Well, I still have half of Caen, and Cherbourg.

I just wasn't prepared for some tactics that he used, that hadn't occured to me when I played as the Allies before this.

If you didn't do it yet, you may find useful to have a look at the game reports (http://www.strategyzoneonline.com/forums/wfhq-ld-ladder-games.php?ld=on&ladder=The+Operational+Art+of+War+%28TOAW%29&scenario=1693) for Two Weeks in Normandy, the scenario comments are often of great value to define a working strategy.

Nemo, I see You manage to defend against my opponent last year.

to be honest
nemo always beated me no matter the scenario

It turns out Pierre (Viridomaros) and I happen to play quite often together. For me, going with the German in this game and facing an opponent of equal skills, you need some degree of luck - sealing the exit from Omaha Beach for a few turns made the trick in this case.

nemo always beated me no matter the scenarioHey, you have a decent chance of changing that - provided of course you send your 19th turn of France 44 and we can get moving on with this one... :D

Don't agree... equal skills players, german player always wins (luck just plays a role on 1st turn)

my oppinion is it's a very balanced scenario
and that the strategy you use is way more important than luck
