Hi guys!
I'm playing the tourny scenario as the Allies and I've bumped into a problem that doesn't let me finish the turn. I currently have the 29th Fld. Art. Bn. standing in hex 68-37 and blocking the arrival of the remaning reinforcement unit (87th Chem Mort. Bn.).

Now, I've read and re-read the manual and from my understanding this shouldn't be happening. Considering the rule that says that in the case of amphibious reinforcements stacking limitations are to be twice what is normally allowed, and since the stacking value on this hex is 120 (the Fld. Art has 12 guns = 120 men. right?), I can only imagine that the Chem Bn has 12+ guns...

What can I do to get that unit in? I've cleared the hex from all the extra units it had, so there's only that pesky 29th...

Would appreciate it if someone gave some pointers on this!

Cheers!

If you want to finish the turn, hit cancel for the reinforcement dialogue when you get to that sticking point. It will come up for arrival on the next turn.

Just throeing this out, but maybe if the arty unit is deployed, it 'takes up more space' than if it was in 'T' mode.

I had this very same problem with the Normandy game and like you I got stuck. Mini-me is correct. Just hit cancel to close the reinforcement dialogue and it will let you end the turn.

Thanks guys. I did that and managed to end the turn. But let me tell you that getting that infantry out of the beach is a tough job!

The terrain in Normandy is pretty restrictive. You can only move a battalion so far on trails through the hedgerows. I found that breaking down into companies sometimes gets me an extra hex or two. And that can make a big difference when you're trying to beat the Germans to key bridges and objectives. Obviously roads are OK. You can move at a pretty good clip in T mode. Since you have air superiority, you don't have to worry about German interdiction.

And for getting off the beaches - never never never combine into larger formations in terrain where you might get Disrupted -- the Germans have a finite amount of units- and disrupting a company is far better than letting them disrupt the entire Battalion.

Which reminds me that I owe Mini and Danny some game time tonight... will possibly have limited game time this coming weekend - if I did not install my wireless card's driver's correctly.

Come to think of it I might want to actually install the game to my laptop too ;) that might help.
