No-cd for EFII and Divided Ground?

Hello everybody,

I just joined into this board. Very nice place ;). Well, I would ask some help from someone here. So, I have both games (EFII and Divided Ground) but I would like to run both without adding every time cd into cd-drive... Could anyone help me?

Gamecopyworld.com had no any Talonsoft's games' nocd files :( .

I've never done it, but a friend of mine uses Alcohol 120% to make a virtual drive. He says it's easy.

Hmm I just tried to make image with Alcohol 120%. I did image about SP2's disc (if this works ok I could try DG image too). Well, I don't understand idea of that... Should I start game from Steel2.exe or somehow from image file (I tried to doubleclick but nothing happened). I added that image into virtual drive before that. Could anyone give me advice how advance?

Wish I could help further, but like I said, I've never done it. Read up on virtual drives in the Alcohol 120% instructions. You probably have to map to the virtual drive somehow so the computer treats it like it was the CD drive. Assign it a letter maybe? You're just going to have to play with it a bit, but it's supposed to work.

Hmm I did that image file for virtual drive (H:). But how can I start game? From C:\Divided Ground or from somewhere else? I tried to click that H drive but nothing happened... Any advices?

Just create EF2 virtual cd and install from that cd ..simple

Ok let me go through this step by step

Step 1

Uninstall your current DG game

Step 2

Create a virtual DG game cd with virtual cd / in this case your drive is H

Get version 7 http://www.virtualcd-online.com/vcddemoe.exe

Step 3

Install DG with the virtual DG game disk you just created

Step 4

When you like to play , just start Virtual CD and select insert command to put in your Virtual DG game disk

When the game start , it will do a CD check in you virtual drive and will proceed ..

Thanks about advices but I got DG installed with Alcohol :) . I just installed it from virtual drive to my default folder. Now I have other problem:TOAW1... It seemed not to allow me to install at all from virtual drive (I tried this via Alcohol and Virtual CD v7) :rolleyes: ... Has anyonen here got it work anyway?
