Have you got a scenario or two that really gets your goat, that you can't figure out now matter how many times you play it? I had just as well give my opponents my password and let them move my forces when playing Nordic Light or 2 Weeks in Normandy. For whaterver reason I really suck at these two scenarios, or at least suck more then I do at all the others. What about you?

i'm particularly bad when it comes to try to salvage the german 6th army in the east. or when it comes to smash the 6th army in the east with the russians
it's a question of theater i presume
Tobruk 41 - I like the scenario, but I have to admit that playing with hex possession turned off really confuses me - and I think it negatively affects my efficiency.
Could be a matter of getting used to it though, only played it a couple of times.

Arracourt 44, man I'll never master this one :cheeky:
Braunschweig as the defender - I think initally it's worse than DNO :smoke:

I gotta agree with Foggy on that one. Over the first dozen turns there isn't a hell of a lot the Soviets can do to impede the Axis advance into southern Russia.
I really don't think I'll ever master DnO as the Soviets. Haven't been able to stop the Germans...

Well, on turn 21 I've just surrendered my red heroes to Rasmus. I'll need some break from Braunschweig, it's the most terrible beating I've ever taken. :(
2 Weeks in Normandy infuriates me to no end. I played as the Allies and lost to Viridimaros. Now I'm playing as the Axis and he's taken more important victory locations on turn 4 than I did in 10 turns as the Allies last game...

don't worry too much about that
i can say the same to siberian heat for kharkov 1942 which i have played against him on both sides and suffered od in both games.
And especially nemo, he always win against me and that starts to be really frustrating
For me it was Road to Rimini written by Chuck
As allies I was never abble to get better than a draw, I did a 3 voices AAR about this scenario you can read them here http://www.strategyzoneonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3380
It was a funny one to write

2 Weeks in Normandy is a bummer playing as the Allies. :(

Two Weeks in Normandy in my limited experience requires the Allied player to really be aggressive, and make full use of the first turn shock, or risk bogging down for the remainder.
I like 2 in Norm as either side - it's a great scenario. Personally I hate playing Cobra44 as axis - the interdiction just gets boring.

Yes, that can be really irritating. Maybe some scenarios where there is overwhelming air superiority for one side (thus murderous interdiction) would benefit from another approach, where the other side better is penalised with lower general supply, trucks, air units or whatever as a 'simulation' of interdiction. Same goes for partisans in some scenarios, inactivate them and have fewer 'security units' as well, or use fixed garrisons...?
Maybe this could be done with theatre options, giving the players a choice on how to play the scenario?
i.e. Activate option 'simulated intediction' or activate option 'simulated partisan action'.

Tobruk 3.7 is my major malfucntion. After severe losses in three games, twice as the Axis, I have just stayed away from it. After I get some time to prep myself for that campaign, I"ll try it again. I find it a very interesting scenario, but I have an aversion to getting kicked in the gut repeatedly- maybe next year. :dead:
