AAR: Silent Hunters of the Deep - 3norwa02
After reading the scenario description and orders I got into the game.
My two subs seemed well positioned and ground uits provided excellent position reports for the advancing invasion force. I moved my subs initially at flank speed to hide behind islands in the path of the oncoming Russians and then drifted while the convoy makeup was being reported.
An Udaloy was approaching the other side of the island, passing within one mile but not detecting me. I was inside the inner zone. Just as I was finalising my shooting solution on a Ropucha and Alligator the Udaloy turned and came back. I fired a snapshot at he and launched on the amphibs. Both primary targets were killed but Kaura was out of torps and tried to escape hugging the island coast. Within a few minutes both subs were found and sunk by Silexes and Helicopters, but the mission was achieved; 2 amphibs and an Udaloy destroyed.
