Thank you for the link. I hear that it still lacks MP support, and that there are some outstanding bugs, but surely it looks interesting, and cheaper! :)
I wrote to Raytheon asking about the product. Probably it is only for Government-level agencies, and/or will have an astronomic price tag, but I'm curious :)
Edit: "Virtual Battle Space 1" by Bohemia studios (http://www.virtualbattlespace.com/) is actually available to the general public, and the pricetag is not excessive ($140), so one can only hope.

I've had VBS1 since it came out - brilliant :)

Sorry for the OT, James, but is there a community online playing VBS1? I'm considering to buy it (better a single, pricy but good game than two turkeys) but I'm unsure about the opportunities to play with other over the Net.
Wow, VBS1 looks great. I really enjoy Operation Flashpoint, so this appears to much more of a great thing. :)

I wonder if it is related to NSS in anyway? NSS is the current Navy standard for doing a Monte Carlo of a specific scenario. The idea is to present a bell curve of capability for a specific scenario. The overall result presenting a rough idea of the probably of success for a mission.
When I went to NY in February for AGSI I got a pretty good brief on all this. I didn't actually see NSS it but was told nevertheless.

Yes, I have both the ADF packs, the map packs and the USMC pack.
all up I've spent about $600 on VBS1, plus the $10000 or so that we paid to get a commercial pack for work (40+ copies)
