As soon as I get the results from Zone A I will update the starting OOB post and the notify you of your Replacement points.

OK, based on both the Pro-Government and Rebel Replacement Point totals, the UN will recieve 150 Replacement Purchase Points this turn.

Remember, you are restricted in what you can get so please post your requests for OP Turn 8.

Any idea, gentlemen?

May be too many points, but a replacement Warrior?

Yes otherwise that platoon would be quite decimated in firepower, not to talk about slow moving if they need to be on the advance. Maybe we should detatch one warrior from the pioneer section in sector A?

Alternetive:
Detatch two UKR sections to form close protection for the arty assets (or HQ) and give the BTR´s to the pioneers, and you would have freed two warriors?

What kind of operations are we facing anyway? Where is the so called Schwerpunkt now? The rebels seem quite weak, and I cant unerstand why they just did sacifice a full rifle coy in sector A? That was just embarrasing. Anyway, the combination of the mechanized UKR coy and the Heliborn marines should probably be able to make short work of any opposition.

My plan:

We will advance on the Rebels, probing town G. Government will do a full-scale attack on G from I. (I agreed with their commander.) We wont, just some skirmish to tie down rebel forces. From N as well. They (both of them!) will be substantially weakened again, so in next turn we push Rebels from G.

Government will vacate towns J and T - we will land troops there by helicopters. So our objective will be met, controlling towns. Their objectives will be met, eliminating Rebels. (If necessary, we can deal with the Government later on as well, we have full supremacy now. - But it wont be necessary according to game rules.)

What about this Machiavellian plan?

Do you have your replacement purchases for the next OP turn? I know I haven't officially set a deadline yet BUT both the Rebel and Pro-Government Commands went ahead and submitted theirs to me already.

I think we would be better off with an artillery unit. We have ample anti-armor capacity, and Warriors are more effective in this role.

My advise would be to buy Ukrainian SP Mortars - my choice would be MT-LBs with Vasilyok automatic mortars. (A platoon is 160 points, but I think that from precious turns we should have some leftover points. If not, can we make it that in next turn it is deducted?)

I UK rifle squad would be left w/o carrier, but we will give them some useful role, I am sure.

4 Ukr. SP-Mortars should appear in A, deployed from the sea.

Yeah, artillery is always good against the enemies infantry waves.

And these are fast-firing automatic mortars! Coupled with ammo carrier, then can lay a good fire roller, helping us to attack / repel attacks.

2nd Ukraine SP Mortar Platoon
...x4 MT-LB 2B9

They have been added to the 1st post of this thread and the UN OOB.

Thank you!It seems that the Ukrainian people are being asked to provide more than their fair share to this UN mission. :smoke:

They could be Russian as well, or any other former WP country.
