hello
Im on turn 5 of NLII,as Nordic player,and my russian opponent is complaining about a "bug":
He sees yellow(swedish)units in the playback of his turn in southern finland.But the trouble is I aint any swedish unit in southern finland(following the houserules,I cant naval transport troops there).He send me a screenshot of his playback where we see clearly yellow units in southern finland.
I remember some years ago I played an early version of a scenario called Europe Aflame(I think...)where the playback was also erratic.
Is the playback in NLII a trustful source of informations?
Second "bug":the spetnatz"Guerrilla"units got the color of Sweden and Finland.My opponent force captured a city of mine in Finland with his Spetnatz(this is confirmed by the news),but the VP flag is still a Blue nordic one.
My game version is 1.04.01

I've seen odd playback results in other scenarios. My experience is that the rest of the playback is accurate ... just ignore what you know is the bogus part.

I am Bulldozer's opponet in NLII. Part of the problem with ignoring the bogus part of the playback is knowing which part is bogus.
I can just chalk this up to the fog of war. I just hope it's as foggy for everyone.

Norway andDanemark and nuclearized!
I respond by a NUKE on MOURMANSK.
the following turn,a grey bar is underlying under my cities names,and...and...we got WEIRD VP results:

another bugs:Ive triggered the nato intervention(150VP)when it appears on turn5.But the ask for nato intervention(200 VP)is still there.
I had a swedish unit that appeared in Turku!!!

Ah ah, bon score! :laugh:
More to the point, I've already seen this score bug in another scenario. I don't think it's related to the activation of the nuclear TOs as in my game as Russian we've been trading nukes for two turns without screwing up the score... so far :)

help somewhere?Leaving aside for the moment the possible bugs on chemical weapons triggers, you could just keep the game going, ignore the victory level for the time being and make a manual addition (VPs and loss penalties at the end of the game) to have a valid result.
Ca devrait marcher, sauf nouveau problème...:)

if you're calculating by hand, don't forget the Permanent VP points for certain objectives. Lotsa value for those that are triggered through EvEditor.
I think a second map was posted somewhere's for these values.
Check the posting for this Tourney, could be there.

Nordic player is awarded 100 VP for the capture of Murmansk.

I must have altered the events during the last stages...the penalty is ment to be applied when you activate the TO.

Well,my game against Muddauber is finished.
It was very hard,cause the last Two turns were full of freezes.
We ahd to "save as"the turn almost for each move of each unit.
We spent 8 turns nuking each other.As a result,the whole map is yellow,from Danemark to North Cap.I thought the game should end after 3 nuke turns.
Anyway,seeing the state of the scandinavian forest,the IKEA company has decided to change actovity and to concentrate now on the producing on "glow-in-the-dark" toothpicks...
Well,heres my points calculation,tell me if Im wrong:
here are my calculations,if the computer territorial
possessions are correct:
Nordic:
territories:810 losses:122
Russians:
territories:190 losses:164
this should done:
(810-190)+(164-122)=662 VP
TO events:
Nordic:
ask for NATO intervention in the conflict:-150 VP
Nuke attack:-100 VP
Mourmansk captured:100 VP
Russians:
Nuke attack:-100 VP
Supply activation:-3X50 VP
final VP should be:662+100=762 VP for the Nordics.
Impressive score - well done!

well,what can I say more that I said in the AAR of the report game,is that Muddaubber attacked principally Sweden with amphibious attacks in the first turns.
So my swedish southern front could hold until the end of the game(and until everybody there finish stuck in radiations...).
Southern Sweden was more difficult to hold.Paratroops and amphibious assault hold quickly the center of the area.My swedish reinforcement were piling up in the reinforcement column,but not on the map!
When Malmo and the south of Seweden was ready to fall,I triggered the NATO intervention.
Then,the movement operations stopped as the radioactivity was falling from the air.The russian nukability is simply amazing!
on the last turns,Muddauber managed to take Stokholm after multi-nuke-bombing the city hex and the hex that was defending the approach of the city.Lotta fresh and Fortified units simply disappeared!
Im definitively convinced that Muddaubber is an enemy of ecology!!!:)
Well,I could win cause Southern Finland was holding,and that Nuke helped me stop the russian steamroller.I could also preserve or retake(with lotta nukes...)the most valuable cities in southern Sweden.

I'm still waiting for 1st turn from Mr.Clark, and myself and Maestro are on turn 6, i think. Waiting awhile for his next turn.
1 BIG question to ask though.
Why would a country who wants the land and such, nuke it?
Do you know how much money it will take to clean up contaminated areas, not to mention the people suffering from burns and fallout?
I think if you are the Russians, you shouldn't be allowed to use nukes unless the enemy does and then, only a few. is this possible.
Tactical Nukes, sheeeesh, defeats the whole purpose of conquering a country, n'est pas?

The scenario briefing says it all: it's about restoring order in central Europe. Nordic Light is meant to control airbases in southern Sweden and Norway to cut the NATO supply line through the North Atlantic - not taking hold of real estate per se. Provided airstrips and LOCs are OK, who cares about the shiny landscape? :smoke:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I know, Warsaw Pact war planning was not shy on using nukes right away.
Nukes are nice... well, at least when you're on the Russian side of things :D

ok,in my game as russian,I got also this bug of "ghost"units:
a russian paratrooper of mine has retreated in Goteborg.
Now in Goteborg we got swedish and russian units living happily together.
When I click on swedish units in goteborg,I can play as Nordic...
Does this interest Pelle that I send him this turn("save as"...)?

yes please. it seems that in the scenario something is set so that this fenomena occurs now anf then. I have not got clue why it is so.

It was fixed then but now it has raised it ugly head again.
I activate the supply point, it arrives, but the supply level stays the same (7).

I have gone through the events of the scenario and I have found the bug concerning the Chemical penalty. Its fixed. I have also checked the supply point in Malmö and I have found that there was a Russian supply point already deployed. When the TO activates it actually removes the supply point already deployed. Sorry for missing that one Rasmus. I have uploaded a new and corrected version in scenario archieve. I still havent found any solution on the change of forces bug...I havent a clue but I will change the background color of the Spetznaz units.

I think i have the same problem, i have activated Malmö, but i dont have any supply indicators in Skåne.
I have a supply point but the small numbers (I have no idea what they are called) that indicate supply, are missing in that area.

The supply point bug was probably the reason why as Russian I actually had a supply point in Malmö without having activated any supply point TO.

What if those who activated Malmö also go ahead and activate Trelleborg free of the -50 VP charge (manual discount)?
Also I find it strange that after Schmindrick and I have gone nuclear, I am currently overwhelmingly leading at minus 1,68 billion points! :laugh: That is I haven't checked the returned file yet, but I hope those nice yellow flowers will have spread more! What an awesome sound when the 400 kT nukes go off! :laugh:

Thats up to you to decide. I think the Malmö supply point bug is a real game killer....*rolling on the back and shows his throat*. :OHNO: :argh: One easy way out without completly restart the game is to allow the russian player to replay the turn he activated the supply point at Malmö and let him undo that decision. The supply point is already there and when the final result is calculated one can add 50 points to NATO/NORDIC side. Or just restart... :o

Been hit with the same score bug here in my game as Russian: I actually have a de facto OV with 1.3 billion points :smoke:
