I have never, even once played an HPS game. Normaly the wargames I go for are RTS style-games, like Cossacks,American Conquest, and the Total War Series. But I recentley completed Sid Meier's Antietam, and am interested in getting one of the Civil War Battle Series Titles.
So I,knowing nothing of the series, need some information, like reviews, and features, as well recomendations for which one to get, and a place to buy it. Any help is greatly Appreciated.

Thanks,
M.E.Eldridge

So many titles :)

But, chances are you paid to much if you didn't check out http://store.navalwarfare.org/ first.

Oddly enough (for reasons that defy my pondering it,)if you are really interested in best, is likely not directly from HPS.

As you will notice, ALL the prices are cheaper at Navalwarfare's site.

Hard to recommend one. Corinth offers the option of playing some other mods that let you delve into some other battles besides the Corinth campaign. I would probably recommend Gettysburg though as it covers one of the most important and well known campaigns of the Civil War. There is an obscenely huge number of scenarios and some really large maps that should allow for unlimited play. Of course if you're interest lies in one of the other campaigns then I don't think you would go wrong there either.

I too would recommend Gettysburg for the reasons Mark mentioned, but also because that seems to be the most common title owned here on this ladder, so finding an opponent won't be an issue.

Sounds good, I'll check them out.

I would also recommend the Battleground series if you can find them. They are old and have to be patche to bring them up to 32bit level, but are still good to play.
