Close Combat 5 patch help needed

Trying to install the patch but afterwards it comes up insert CCV disk.

I dont have CC 5 installed on the default drive. Does this matter?

Patch would not work for me and the game publisher wouldn't help. Said the game was not made to support Win ME. The game worked fine without the patch but you could not play the okinawa mod I don't think. I am not sure if it affects multiplayer. I always played solo.

Found away around it.

When patch installed and it says insert disk. Just browse to the CD drive and the game loads. It works OK from then on.
