Hi,
I just ordered the World at War pack from NWS online combat store yesterday- and it's supposedly shipping- was worried it wouldn't be available...anyway, I'm trying to complete my CS series collection, and am wondering, WILL this complete my collection? I've been out of circulation for a few years, so I missed a good bit. I was getting my CS games for free as a tester(the ones I tested that is)- and that put a crimp in my game access when I stopped performing that job. Are ALL of the expansion packs included in W.at W.? I see some listed, but others not(notably WF battle pack1 isn't mentioned by name), and on other sites I see that "all expansions" are included, albeit with no listing. I want it all! I plan to be buying PB#1 through the blitz-but is there anything else out on disc with more scenarios? I gotta have more scenarios, man- where can I score some? My neighbors have a very loud stereo that I'd be willing to take to the pawn shop to pay for more...I NEED those scenarios so I can play more PBEM, so I can play more scenarios, so I can play more PBEM

I regret not ever fully completeing my ASL and SL collection- don't want the same regrets with the CS. Thanks

B

Do you have Divided Ground too? If so I warmly recommend the Vietnam Mods, they are truly excellent :smoke:

WAW should include all official expansions to WF EFII & RS. Divided Ground is not included and sells as a seperate game. Also The Blitz wargaming club sells an expansion for EFII. It runs 20 bucks and is well worth it. Jason Petho can explain more about what is in it but it comes with a ton of new scenarios and a few new units as well.

Project Blitzkreig vol 2 will be out for EFII hopefully soon! ;)

I'm intrigued- whats Divided Ground? And thanks for the other info...I COULD surf the web I suppose and find out about Divided Ground- but I'd rather talk to you guys. You make me feel warm and fuzzy...or maybe I just need to shave? :D

Divided Ground was the last installment in the Campaign Series, dealing with the Middle East Conflicts:

For some reasons the DG Vietnam Mod page isn't available at this time, I'll post it when it will :smoke:

Hey, thanks Boonierat!

How is it for PBEM? The Arab/Israeli wars seem to have been a little one sided till The Yom Kippur War - and even though they were surprised, the Israelis managed to recover even in that one. I imagine there were more balanced tactical situations that could make for good HTH battles than it would seem from the end result of the conflicts.

Anybody see the "Top 10 Tanks of all time" documentary on the Military History Channel? The British Centurion is what I'm leading up to...they recounted an incident in the '67 war- I believe on the Syrian front, where 2 Centurions knocked out scores of Syrian tanks- prob T54's, but not sure..I think- incredible as it seemed, the two tank crews took out close to a hundred Syrian tanks, give or take, over a 36 hour period...OUCH!!! I think the Centurion rated #6 or #5..can't remember to be sure..

Incidentally- the T34 was rated # 1- which I fully agree with- though I was disapointed to see the Panther not rated in the top 10! I know it was kind of a T34 knock off- but was still surprised. PZ VI Tiger was # 3, and the US Abrams was #2...Anyhow- thats kind of off topic, so I'll quit..

To tell you the truth I never played any of the DG scenarios lol, as you can guess I'm a Vietnam fanatic and I bought it only to use the Mods, I found it a store a few years ago, it was a bundle with TOAW II for only €5 :smoke:

I'm currently playing a Divided Ground campaign (I'm playing Syria in '73), a divided ground scenario, a DG-Vietnam scenario (Lam Son - a HUGE battle - which I believe they need playtested since there are all zero's in the level of victory fields), and I'm finishing up a complexity 9 battle which I designed using the editor (Operation Valiant - the breakout from the Derversoir bridgehead) which eventually led to the end of the Yom Kipper War.

So to say the least, I am getting my money's worth out of Divided Ground. It's a very good supplement to the CS - Vietnam just makes it even better (much better actually). :)

Looks like I'll be wanting to get Divided Ground too then...is the Vietnam Mod a download, or a disc? I'm more interested in that then the Arab Israeli wars too- no offense to any Arabs or Israelis who frequent this site- you guys fight wonderful wars together! <God(s) but that was callous of me!>

Think of Divided Ground as a separate game, and DG-Vietnam is an expansion pack (free!) you download from theblitz.org.

By the way, they must have over 200 downloadable scenarios there; there are some for every part of the campaign series. Most are for East Front/EF II but there are some for Divided Ground and DG-Vietnam as well. One scenario has 475 turns, heh.

hth :cheeky:

Hi ya'll,

Now, when I do recieve and install WaW, will I be screwing up any of my current pbem games? I figured I'd save the bte files, uninstall the current versions of the CS games, install WaW, re extract the most recent bte files from my pbems into the appropriate folders, and I'd be back in business...does WaW bring everything up to the right version too? (like EFIIv1.02)

To my opponents- sorry for the delay this weekend- I got back from our trip later last night than expected- I'll have your turns out this morning, and early afternoon!
