CM Scenario Editor maximum capabilites.

I have recnetly upgraded my PC's video card to a 256 MB Nvidia. I previously had a 64 meg ATI. When I had the ATI card I made a huge scenario with 3 Russian infantry battalions and enough russian tanks to make alamost a regiment. I had a sizeable German force with quite a few defensive emplacments. I tried to make a simialr scenario with my new card and the progrmaed locked up in making the map. Is there amny ideas an what I can do to fix this?

After reading several posts about AI attacking or lack thereof. Looks like the CM system is not up to the task. I would have like to try those huge scenarios I downlaoded though.
