Hey all
I just received my copy of Me 67 last nite. I downloaded latest patches from HPS. Then I downloaded all the Add ons from the Unnoficial Panzer Campaigns page plus the Art Pack. Now I have 5 files some of them have the same nations there is even an German SS folder?? I unzipped them all and noticed that some units have the upgraded graphics and some not?
Which one should I install and does it matter the order they are unzipped?
Thanx
Paul
You should install the HPS patch first. At least that's what I do.
What I did after that was install the add-ons in the chronological order they were created. The date is shown next to the link to the file on Glenn's website.
I'm not sure about SS folders in ME67, but I wouldn't worry about it. There's South Korean folders in my NGP game.
If you did the game install to all the default stuff that pops up on the wizard, then you should have no problem installing any of the add-ons. You just download the files to say 'my documents'. Then extract to the game folder. It should be C:\Program Files\HPS Simulations\Middle East '67. You should have followed the same procedure with the patch.
Hope this helps. I'm not the most computer savvy guy in the world, maybe there's somebody else who can explain it better?
What I usually do is install Volcano man's art pack after every other mod has been installed, that way V man's art overwrites everyone else's. What I'm looking for is the scenario files in the others anyways.
Patches will always be ongoing so just go right ahead and patch whenever they come up, patches usually cover tweaks to the game engine so they generally won't affect your games in progress or any mods or art packs you already have installed.
As for the "funny" nationalities in the game, IIRC the game engine is hard coded with fixed nationalities, so if you want to have a nationality with it's own unique background colours and symbols which wasn't in the original game then you have to use one of the hard coded nationality slots to do so, in the context of ME67, the German SS folder represents the Sudanese Army, East Germans as the Algerians. I hope I got it right.

I wouldn't worry about the SS Folder - but if your concerned you can always unistall the game from Control Panel - the remove any residual files.
Reinstall, repatch and leave it that way for a week or two.
FWIW the odd nations (like German-SS) are just ways the MODs create nations that are not in the game. You can't make up your own nations - only some will work. That is where it comes from. But in game terms it really doesn't matter what the folder is called.

Thanx for the clarification....I'd like to install all the add ons but I'll instal Valcanos art last to override any previous art packs.
