Double Deuce
31 Mar 05, 08:49
This week continues to see very heavy fighting between United Nations and Rebel Forces. Rebel Forces in the Northwest part of the island have come under increasingly heavy attack by well armed United Nations troops. The UN Forces have also thrown some of their regional air assets into the fray. Locals are reporting seeing large body counts on Rebel soldiers and equipment BUT they also reportly have seen several UN vehicles burning.

Pro-Government Forces seem to be taking the week off and getting some much needed rest and reorganization.

Until recently, Independent news reporters have not been able to get to the island because of a tight naval blockade imposed by the United Nations to prevent outside interference. Since the UN Forces have become more involved in the fighting reporters may been able to sneak onto the island. There are hopes that very soon some images of what is going on will start to filter out into the general media.

Stay tuned for more.......
