Yes, about a month ago. I think it is a pretty good movie and have it on my list for the wife to pick bday, fathers day, etc. presents from.

Watched it three times. Makes you feel for this Regiment's charge. Now I wonder, did they ever come as close as the movie portrays them? I mean did they breach the outer wall and were beaten back inside the ramparts?

The 54th occupied a portion of the parapet, long enough to hoist their flag, but they were ordered to withdraw having suffered heavy casualties.

The Fort was never carried by force, it was put under seige and eventually abandonded by the Confederates two months after the failed, heroic assault of the 54th.

I love Glory, even if some of the dialog makes me cringe at times.

Anyways, great movie and it is among my Civil War DVD collection.

The Outlaw Josey Wales
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

I think thats about it. Need to get the Ken Burns documentary eventually but I have heard poor reviews of how they did the DVD. I was able to catch some of it on PBS a couple months ago, though. Really good stuff.
