Q: Where was Fort Fillmore, occupied in early 1861 by a Federal garrison twice the size of that in Washington?

The books answer is "Forty miles north of El Paso, Texas", but New Mexico can probably be considered correct. :smoke:

Looks to be right near White Sands, NM. However NM didn't become a state until 1912, so it wouldn't have technically been in "New Mexico" at the time.
