I was wondering what the next game in the series is, if anyone knows.

Also, I am sure HPS and co. probably have a few campaigns set out for future games, but what are some campaigns/battles you would like to see done?

How about a game covering the campaigns in Virginia and Maryland in Fall of '62?

The Seven Days, Second Manassas, The Valley Campaign, Harper's Ferry, Antietam, etc. I know that's a lot of action, but boy would it make for some great campaign choices.

Call it "Civil War Battles: Lee Takes Command" or somesuch.

My personal favorite to see would be the campaign from Chattanooga to Atlanta.

That would be pretty good. You should probably add Chickamauga in tehre as well...

Well HPS makes it a practice to announce new games on the firt Friday of the month so does that mean we might know on April 1st?

Anyone else want to guess what the next one will be...?

Well I know I usually have the ear of HPS designers but supposing they decided that I really didn't need the Atlanta campaign here is what I would guess.

Seven Days - Lots of clamoring for this one over in the ACWGC, would offer a nice number of historical scenarios and would fit the campaign design nicely

Second Bull Run to Antietam - This would seem a natural since a good chunk of the map work is already done for the Gettysburg campaign

Maybe the Vicksburg campaign?

Vicksburg is a possibility also as I think there gunboat units in one of the games that weren't being used.

Hehe, it is like guessing what weather will be on 1st April.

My favorite is Atlanta campaign but I don't think that it would be a next game.

But McClellan's Peninsula Campaign is a possibility.

The Overland campaign could be a good one.

The Overland campaign could be a good one.
Vinny - what's that?

I believe he is referring to Grant's 1864 campaign against the ANV. You'd have the Wilderness, Spotsylvania Courthouse, North Anna, Cold Harbor, etc.

Yes, that would be a good one...maybe covering up to the end of the war? Or maybe just to the point prior to the seige of Petersburg begining...

Vinny - what's that?

I believe it was called the Overland Campaign in slight reference to McClellan's Penninsular Campaign.

The objective of both was to directly end the war by marching on Richmond and more precisely, for Grant, the destruction of Lee's army.

I think it would make for a great game either way...

Yup, Campaign Peninsula is on pre-order here:
http://www.sps-systems.co.uk/trolleyed/142/index.htm

Looks like it is the Seven Days Battles with addition of the Battle of Seven Pines.

Great! We have something new!!!
I will order it after Easter :)

There won't be any announcement from HPS until the release date...SOP.

I have a "spotlight" page to put together on it similar to the ones I've got for the other games...so I'll get that posted as soon as I get the OK from Scott.
