Yeah, I second that. Let's have some feedback please.
I'll play it as soon as get some sleep. It took about 5 1/2 hours to download it from the best of the three sites (which had a 250 download connection limit) on a standard dial up connection. The slower feed would have taken at least twice as long.

It was stange playing the demo because at first i didnt like how the camera moves with the mouse for rotation. I quickly got used to that but if im looking at a t-34 down at ground level to get a "better" look when the action starts, it gets annoying when how the camera can fly around with a little bump. More so than CMBO
Interface took some getting use to, but man do i like it now. It has lots of info just all around a better design.
Sound was another surprise. I read that to lower the size of the demo they used dulled down samples so i didnt get the FULL experience. All i can say is when you are at ground level and the small arms bullets are hitting the ground around your units gave a nice effect.
Graphics are awsome i love how the trees, swayed the grass on the ground, the smoke from when a round is fired its just beautiful. G.I. Combat better look out because this is the standout.
I got my ass kicked in the tutorial reeeealllllyyyy BAD!
My bad tactics and the fact that the enemy displaced and flanked me sent the surrender screen up in discrace.

I was getting the game anyway,,like most here:)..but it was nice to finally get my hands on something to play. I think the attention to the terrain has really paid off. As my panzers rolled across the steppe it looked.......amazing!. The armour penetration was more realiatic for sure, and tank vs tank combat will be different . changing the camera view took some getting used to at the start, but it is more user friendly once one adapts. Cant wait for the real thing:love:

Sounds : well, I already installed many of my sounds mods.
Graphic : amazing. I love to look in Zoom 1 how tanks rolling over the hills. It looks so much better now!
Interface: I also don't like the change on the camera rotation. But I guess it is just a question of time. The cover arc is a long needed feature!
Damagemodel : cool. This time it feels much more realistic.

I didn't think the sounds were as good as they could be, but maybe the final version will have better sound.
The terrain certainly looks better and more natural. Has anyone played multiplayer yet?
I have only played against the AI, and thus far have completed the tutorial as the Soviets (as recommended) and started Citadel as the Germans.
The tutorial was too easy. I whipped the Germans without much of a whimper. CMBO tutorial by Wild Bill Wilder was a much more balanced & challenging introduction to the game. I can still lose it.
Citadel is included IMHO to deomonstrate the changes in armor combat and long battlefield maps. I agree that armor combat will be very different than in CMBO. Don't know if I will like it better or not. But if it is more realistic, I'm all for it. The sounds are great, especially if they are only knock-offs of what is to come.
The graphics for the troops and vehicles are similar to mods I currently run on CMBO. They are a big improvement beyond the 2000 CMBO originals. The terran is much better.
Since this is only the original demo, I'm expecting even better things from the full release version.
