Playing my bulge 44 turn today during lunch, i blew up a city hex and its units with artillery leaving no enemy units ( hi danny 8) ) and RUBBLE in the hex. I was then able to move units in T mode thru the RUBBLE hex . For some reason it just didnt seem right to be able to move thru the RUBBLE hex.

Rubble actually expends more movement points, I think in the area of 30% more? Glenn?

Rubble negates the road and triples movement costs. Once engineers clear the rubble you can use road movement through the hex but the movement cost is still tripled.

the guys i had moving came from pretty far back in the line, triple movement for whatever the other terrain in the hex? This was brand new RUBBLE just created that turn. I know that bridges into RUBBLE hexes were changed so it was possible to move into them in T mode, but just being able to motor right thru a RUBBLE hex just seems wrong.

Well you must have had plenty of movement points. You were probably also moving at the road rate up to that hex. I took my reply straight from the manual.

It is likley a timing issue as the state of the terrain is probably taken at the start of the turn or perhaps at the time the file was loaded if it was part way through the turn. Be hard to simulate in a test I think.
