Question on Disabled Tanks

In one of my PBEM games, Im playing as the Germans and a hex containing a PB1 light tank was hit with some artillery and the damage report box came up say that it had been disabled. But when I started my turn I was able to move and fire it as if nothing had happened. So Im hopeing someone could tell me what that means when it comes up in the damage report box.

I've seen that a few times myself. Maybe someone knows the actual answer, but I assumed it probably makes it disabled for the duration of your opponents turn. Like having no OP fire.

no, disabled = destroyed.

You must have lost 1SP, but you just did not notice.

pg 40 of the West Front manual: Random Armor Disablement: An indirect fire attack vs. an armored target has a very slight chance of disabling (i.e., eliminating) a SP from an armored unit.

I now know the same feeling...a sherman tank was disable by mortar fire in a turn I just played today, it is a very bad feeling when that happens. But Im happy to report that the remain sherman tanks found that mortar section and completely destroyed it in revenge only with the rest of the enemy artillery as I had circled the enemy and attack their rear :devil:
