It seems that it is possible for an opponent to setup or play his turn in a differing SPWAW version and for his opponent to not get the common warning message at the start of a PBeM game file.
I had wondered why some opp's asked if I was getting the pop-up message and had not. While on other occassions I had gotten a pop-up message while similarly they did not.
Apparently it does not occur for both players.
Lastly, if you start a pbem game in the wrong version watchout for impossible results.
Things such as vehicles that showup as infantry and succemb to ordinary rifle shots. [the armour values do not impede the bullets].
As well infantry units may suddenly become able to load other infantry!
These things are anomalous and occur largely as a result of opening a game with the incorrect version it was setup for. [Including successive turns.]
