Mr. Clark,
did you receive my mail before the battle? Everything is fine?
Mr. Clark,
did you receive my mail before the battle? Everything is fine?
Yes I received the mail. Tried to act according to it by posiitioning the chopper in a god place. and preparing the ATGM teams to race towards a good fire position, as I had to get my units positioned close (better on) the street between two villages.
While patrolling between two small villages in sector C Team Python heard rumors of a supposed rebel Ambush set on the road.
At precisely 13.57H A scouting peace keeping platoon heard supposed heavy machinery on the area to the south and radioed in to HQ. Lieutenant Colonel Clark sent out the ATGM teams supported by two Warrior IFVs and two mounted Peace Keeper Platoons to set up defensive parameters in the south. Two other mounted PKP where send back to the village just crossed dissmounted and took up defensive postions in the city center and leaning south. Additional PKP and the Staff are setting up position in the woods to the north.
At 14.06H one warrior was ordered to the south east to set up an additional position to defend the flank of the ATGM force. while trying to set up position int was abushed by 4 enemy AFV type T-54 with infantry and destroyed (no RPG: Damit!!!!).
At the same time the Warrior supervising the ATGM teams made contact with two heavy trucks to the south. The IFV opened fire and destroyed both Vehicles by 14.07H, plus created havoc in the attending infantry from ranges of around 1KM. Warrior 1 has confirmed multiple hits and that the enemy infantry is in retreat.
The just arriving Mi-24 took up a position covered by the treelines and attacked one T-54 with a Shturm ATG nut missed.
The gunner reports seing four rpt four T-54 in close attendance of at least 3 infantry squads near the position of the destroyed Warrior. (note: if these guys move out of the treeline they're hammered after getting closer to the infantry)
Contact to all units holds and no further casulties are reported.
Combat evolving quickly. South is confirmed as enemy axis of attack.
Combined assault of infantry and Tanks lead to destruction of another warrior. no further friendly casulties.
Warrior fires at pinned units formnerly in the trucks, casulties around 3-4 in 3 squads.
Mi-24 reports kill of two enemy AFV type T-54.
Infantry moving in Fiat to outflank enemy units and attack enemy infantry after neutralisation of AFVs.

I hope you managed to stabilize the situation after the initial mistakes! You have a helicopter, the enemy has no air defence, so use that chopper to scout them before you move, dammit! Now rip them apart, you have everything to do it!

The problem was that I only gotr the chopper after the first turn and my second warrior was in a good position behind wood cover it was just a bloody coincident he actually got him.
Combat evolving more quickly. Mi-24 reports destruction of another T-54 and routing of the last. Furthermore reports of 4 enemy infantry contacts that are not surpressed, two squads near the covered positions of two supported peacekeeper squads, others far off any units. Squads notified by radio prepare for ambushing the enemy.
Warrior continued firing at infantry squads near the disabled Trucks, reporting number of enemies in two squads down to 3.
Peacekeeping squad on FIAT is now in covered position ready to assault and destroy retreating infantry.
If the intel is right there are around 4 infantry squads not yet visually identified, but most likely position near the destroyed tanks as they were seen there for short time.

This sounds much better. We can not afford great losses, as we are outnumbered. We have huge technical and intel advantage, but execution of actions has to be smooth. We can not recover after great losses.
After with another precision strike the Mi-24 killed the last surviving T-54.
Reconaissance maneuvereing revealed four enemy infantry squads in close attendance, one squad operating independently that engaged a peace keeper squad without resulting casulties was forced to flee by heavy machinegun fire from 2 Fiats.
In the south the ambush Fiat took out two rebel Infantry squad, reporting no survivors.
The vehicle is now waiting to be supported by a second Fiat with mounted infantry to engage the enemy squads, formerly transported by the trucks, from behind while a Warrior IFV is carefully advancing behind its infantry squad to attack from the north.
Helicopter intelligence reports three or four dispersed enemy infantry squads of which two are pinned with one having lost nearly 50% of its memebers after a long range attack from the warrior.

The situation is developing to the better quickly.
The squad that attacked the other squads is destroyed.
The three other squads in the area are down to two times three and one time one person and all routed. Now have 3 Fiats and Three Infantry squads there to finish them off.
In the south I attacked another Infantry squad that was advancing towards my area. Reports are that there are now up to 5 deaths. now another fiat with infantry is there in the next turn they will carefully advnace after helicopter scouting.
The game is done.
Infantry squad two reports killing of the enemy commanser, while the retreating elements in the south of the vilalge are completely destroyed, without losses.
The warrior and it's infantry squad destroyed the enemy squad without losses.
Air recon reports another routed enmy infantry squad in the south that that will be attacked by two Fiats and infantry in the next turn.
Another rebel squad that is still combat ready is reported to be in the woods near the destroyed trucks but an embush of two fiats with dismounted infantry is set.
No further enemy contact reported, and the numbers are equal to what intel suggested.
We can look forward to the destruction of an enemy infantry company with tanks in this sector.

Good job! We will give a Warrior from engineers to the british infantry squad that lost its vehicle. Mop them up now.
At the moment we have some problems with the last turn, somehow everytime I play the file the player file gets corrupted for my opponent.
BUT if we more or less agreed on that the two remaining squads of the enemy would stay alive.
A last thing I'll try is a new install of SPMBT on a freinds PC this weekend, maybe it's getting done then.

After initialy being caught by a Rebel ambush, UN forces managed to turn the tables due to their high mobility ad firepower.
UN losses included;
1st UK Mech Infantry Platoon
...x1 Rifle Section
...x2 Warrior
United Nation Forces still control the zone!
