I recently reinstalled POA2 and latest patch (build 201) after setting it aside nearly a year ago due real life commitments. After experimenting with a couple of scenarios, all I can say is WOW!!! It is amazing how much POA2 has changed/evolved over the last 10 months or so. Needless to say, I will be facing quite the learning curve (again).
I do have a couple of questions regarding new features/functions added in recent patches that I hope other forum members can help answer. If Scott has modified the game manual to answer these questions, feel free to tell me to RTFM...
What exactly does the shading (or lack thereof) represent when selecting "Check Selected Unit Targeting this Loc" from the RMB menu? Additionally, Is there a short-cut key or some way of quickly removing the shading once it is selected? The only solution I have found is to click on and off the Area LOS button.
Can anyone provide a brief description (or point me to a discussion thread) on how Composite Units are supposed to work? I am assuming that they are working as designed now. When last I played a game, Scott had just begun work on the concept of Composite units so these appear to be a significant change in the game structure.
Lastly (and most importantly) does LOS seem to make sense now? This was the one aspect of the that always seemed to make the least amount of sense...
I'm sure more questions will come to mind as I re-learn the game...
Thanks,
Mike
