I will probably be home by the time this gets answered but I can check for the answer first thing in the morning ..

Do I go ahead and post my force and it's orders or do I wait till assigned an area that is commanderless?

I checked all the main threads and took copies home as well as the map ..

I will remain commander of this force until said test campaign ends. He's a new recruit for the Pro-Gov side. I added him in as a precaution as we have recently had a large portion of the UN and Rebel command MIA. He will be a back up should the team need him. Also I wanted him to see how the campaign was being run to see if he can glean any ideas/suggestions for the tourney he is looking to put together.

OK roger.
This thing has been going for some time and if nothing else I'd like to see it through.

Welcome new recruit.
If your up for tactical combat you will get your chance.

Cool point.
Had been reading posts on and off between turn pick-ups and send-outs but never really was sure how often the battles erupted nor how the situations were resolved after combat ..

Thanks for the welcome.
I am only a private email away .. though most of the time when I can't get the forum to load at the college I can read the postings in the email box for threads I am subscribed to.

Had been reading posts on and off between turn pick-ups and send-outs but never really was sure how often the battles erupted nor how the situations were resolved after combat .Yes, most of the prep work for this campaign was done with the original commanders via email so by only reading the forum and website you might not learn the game flow too well. I try to take things phase by phase and post instructions as we go, always trying to set deadlines for any particular requests.

Basically it goes like this;
I post intel and starting OOB and unit locations,
Ask for replacement purchases,
Players submit move orders,
I create battles and send files out for the battles are fought,
I update the OOB's and units start locations for the next turn taking into account casualties and end game reports,
Start the process all over again for the next turn.
