View Full Version : Can't move into a hex.
I am playing a PBEM game with Jazz, Korea 85. I am playing the NK. There is a 50 points victory hex that I can't enter at all. It is in rubble. Is there a way to enter this hex?
Which hex is it? I'd have to open the map when I get home. You should me able to do a 'minimum move' into just about any hex, although I've found that marsh/swamp hexes can only be accessed by leg infantry.
It is hex 41,25 in the Seoul 22 turn scenario, just west of the lake. Could be that I am trying to enter it with mech units instead of foot only then?
Are any enemy's on either side of the hex? If so their ZOC may be preventing movement into the hex.
As to rubble, this triples movement costs into a hex and prevents road movement. Are your units deployed? Engineers can romove rubble as well which I think makes road movement possible.
No ennemies in the area close enough to affect my movement. Either deployed or in transport mode, engineers just can't enter the hex.
What message appears at the bottom? Not enough movement points?
The message is can't move into the hex, blocked by terrain
What type of unit are you trying to move? Are there any hexside features like a ditch or something else?

In the same game, I have one hex (IP in Rough Terrain on a hill surrounded by open ground hill hexes) where a TOW unit started the game. I have not been able to move him from that location no matter how hard I try. Travel mode, No Travel Mode,... nada... Every turn I try to move him just for the hell of it, but nothing.
I also inadvertantly moved a tank unit into a swamp location. He won't move either.

Same scenario...
In hex 22,23, I have a TOW unit that started there that cannot move. it is not fixed. I've tried in T move and not.
I also inadvertantly moved a tank unit into 3,20...a swamp hex, and he has not been able to move out. That one I can beleive and understand....damn fat Eastern European fingers... :(

OK I was able to take that hex using foot only infantry.
Only foot infantry can move into or out of rough terrain hexes for K85. Check out the paramter data dialog. I got caught out a few times before I finally figured it out.
