For the longest time I was playing with the SPWAW running from the mech.exe file.
I used to get perfect screen images in the beggining but then I went thru a period of inverted screen colors. I couldn't stand it! I even re-installed each of the versions two or three times apiece not counting three reinstalls of WinXP pro.
So, there I was last nite enjoying my third or so week of great images with no colour inversions .. when all of a sudden, blink, everything went 60's psychadelic on me .. color inversion again.
Then it dawned on me. When I have my windows explorer folders set to a certain setting I get color inversion - makes it almost impossible to see the save and email file names. I had just tweaked every folder to thumbnails so I could work on some icons and stuff.
So I went and changed the folder view option for all the SPWAW games to :
view as icons.
:surprise: Now the game runs normal again!!
