How can I make a custom flag/nation to be added to SPMBT?

I'd like to add a Quebec flag that would be used in conjunction with the regular Canada OOB.

Is there an editor that would facilitate that?

Hello,

I'm not sure that is possible.I would advise you to ask that question at the SPMBT group at Yahoo since most of the developers read it regularly and would probably have that answer for you.

Is there an editor that would facilitate that? You would most likely have to edit the .shp file that holds one of the flags. There is an SHP editor with SPMBT but I have never really used it so I cannot give clear advice.

For 'hypothetical' scenario design only . . . I lived in Montreal through the '95 referendum . . . scary time, especially when that BQ MP wrote an open letter to all CF officers of Quebec descent, urging them to defect to a Quebec army the day after a Yes vote in the referndum . . .

You should talk to your local CSIS representative about that.

On the outside of Quebec we entertain people who can do both; remain part of the Quebec separatist movement but remain loyal to a Canada first tradition of partiotism!

I believe you would thus be called a spy or an informer; unless you rise to a position of importance in which you would either be a plant or at worst a saboteur.
Do you know your wooden shoe size?

It would certainly be an emotional campaign for some .. although it would be interesting to see how you would handle the Schizophrenic single man force unit. I recall the day the PM Jean Chretien had his home intruded upon by such an individual; fortunately Jean was not home - however his wife was and suffered from the experience.

My point being that in the rest of Canada this would be reported and would be considered quite serious. But within the 'borders' of Kaibec it is not so easy to distinguish the healthy separatist from the unhealthy one. Not to mention that if any separatist got reported outside Kaibec as a mentally ill person, that the BQ would be apoplectic with rage that any separatist would should be defined as such.

It would seriously weaken the morale of Quebec'rs if the rest of Canada sent their bilingual schizors to Quebec welfare rolls and urged them to join the BQ.

The fleur de lis would probably become a clover - thus leading Irish separatists to run for prov gov't :surprise:

Of course I already mentioned that it would be an emotional campaign and of course the experienced wargamer would understand and make use of such divisive issues if an edge could be gained....:halo:
