Posting screenshots

Just a quick question.

Could anybody pass on the technique to post a screenshot; or for that matter how to even save one to file ?
Is a special file extension required ?

Any help would appreciated.

If you have Windows you can click the 'Print Screen' button, open up the Paint program from the Start Menu, and select 'Edit-Paste'. Save the file as gif or jpg file. Then attach it to your message.

So you need a paint program to view the file ?

Windows comes with Paint.

Check Start->Programs->Accessories.

You can also use Alt-Printscreen if you just want a screenshot of the active window and not the entire screen.
