My plan was to place a antitankmine barrier composed of the antitankmines one has at the beginning of the scenario and FASCAM
1000 Meters forward of PL Marvel covered by javelinteams on the
hills on both sides of it.The aim was at best to stop the enemy
force or attack and destroy the enemy vehicles when they are coming through breaches.Actually it was the best case that happened. In a first fase I just lost some vehicles to enemy artillery fire directed by DRT teams. Then Frogfoot aircraft attacked and caused heavy casualties to my Bradleys and killed two tank platoons. When the enemy ground forces advanced my artillery attacked them with BBDPICM and caused some casualties.
The enemy stopped its advance. Then my Warhogs attacked and caused more casualties.THE enemy  stayed put until the end suffering casualties all the time from my artillery.Easy victory because of the passiveness of the enemy.

Friendly losses were 12 Abrahams,13 Bradley,2 antitankteams,3 fireteams,3 FIST,3 Linebacker,2 Thunderbolt and 1 COLT team OMG! That was a "victory"? LMAO! I would bet there are 1,000 to 1 Armor officers who would disagree with that loss ratio of US to OPFOR equipment as a "victory"! ;) You essentially lost 1 Armor and 1 Mech company to MAYBE one mech company. I don't see how that was a win.:whist:;)
In addition, that's a defense scenario! I'm wondering if there isn't a problem with that scenario. I may have to give it a try tomorrow and see how I fare.
I do know that, if a Brigade commander told me that I would HAVE to sustain those kinds of losses before I could conduct retrograde ops, I'd have to tell him to get bent!

There must be something wrong with the scenario. The attacker doesn t really attack. My losses were essentially due to the attack of the Frogfoot. The Linebackers didnt fire at the attacking aircraft and so the attacking aircraft could inflict very heavy casualties.Something went wrong there. :(

With regard to Linebacker, I can't see any obvious problem there. I just tried it and the Linebacker quickly shot down the Su-39. Perhaps your's were moving, in hold fire, or on suppress mode, possibly as part of the heirarchy they were cross-attached into.
As for the assault failing to develop, I took a look with the Scenario Editor. I think the plan hangs up on Phase III under certain conditions. I notice the phase end condition is an event box; if by chance you do a good job of busting up the first echelon before they reach vicinity PL Sawyer, it looks to me like the main on-line assault in Phase IV might never trigger. It also appears the AI Order for 2 MRB to company wave assault got assigned to 1 MRB instead by mistake.

I have seen a similar phenomenon in that if you offer any effective defense up front, OPFOR just lines up and sits, without making any effort to advance past Crash Hill.

I just tried Crash Hill (KB) again and set up well back just to see if the AI actually executes an attack. I did not fire at ANY enemy units except to find and eliminate the forward eyes and "Sam-trap" the OPFOR fixed-wing stuff.
The OPFOR just milled around nortwest of Crash Hill. A group of BAT and T80 plows did move over Crash Hill to the SW at about 1h 15min elapsed time, but the turned around and went back. At about 1h elapsed time, a few BMP's moved to the lower elevations of the ridge immediately N of Crash Hill and stopped.
I'm presently at about 1h 25min elapsed time and the OPFOR has made no effort to pass Crash Hill. He just mills around in the area of PL SAWYER, occasionally forming a line about 6km long in various orinetations.
