I found this game while surfing ebay: Soldiers, Hero's of World War 2. Anyone heard of it? The seller is in England, so maybe its a local game there. I've never heard of it.

I've heard reviews. All gnerally say it a VERY difficult games with some AI problems and Interface snafus. But i heard a gamespeak line in a review that i like to say.

"Hello frum SHTUKAH!" (Throws grenade)

almost as fun to say as "Ich bein ein Berliner"... almost...

This game is GREAT for those people who enjoy loading and reloading saved games a minimum of about a 100 times per scenario/battle due to extreme difficulty levels (Most of the scenarios you get 5 guys vs an entire regiment, tanks, infantry guns, snipers etc.). These guys finally listened to all the complaints about unchallenging A.I. in games and achieved new levels of Computer capability against human players by giving you 1% of the number of enemy forces.

If you enjoy loading/reloading even more you need not worry. There are a plethora of bugs that cause things like soldiers to freeze up entirely that will allow you to get some more loads in.

Not to worry though you aren't allowed to play the other side in multi-player so things won't get too unbalanced with actual intelligence behind things. Your forced to play in co-op mode only. This gives the added pleasure of now controlling 2 infantry guys vs an entire regiment.

If they were somehow going for a "Commandos" style game here I think they missed a turn somewhere along the way and went sailing off a cliff instead.

If you can pick it up for around $1 I'd highly recommend it. It would make for some great scratch paper or food for the fireplace, and a bonus sturdy little frisby for the kids to play with.

Another possibility would be to put it next to your Microprose Squad Leader game, wherever you keep that one now, It will feel right at home there.

However, a berliner is also a kind of pastry. So, it is often jokingly quoted as "I am a sticky bun." Well, at least he wasn't in Frankfurt.

I bought the game a few months back, the graphics are great, but I am not a fan of mission based RTS that limit your equipment.
I would rather have a large scale battle as opposed to having 4 men try to take out Tiger tanks etc!!!
If you can get it for less than 20 bucks it may be worth it, or heck I send you my copy if your interested.
i dont play it and I was going to trade it in soon.
