The Wintergewitter Tourney is FINISHED!
I regret to report that the AXIS team earned an oh so slight victory. Here are the game results:
1 DRAW
7 AXIS OV's
6 SOVIET OV's
1 SOVIET MV
I don't really even remember how we said we'd score the tourney, but I consider this an Axis team win. (Soviet CO drifts into the woods as he prepares to accept responsiblity and met the great warrior in the sky ....)
BTW: The following games still need reported to WARS
RangerBooBoo vs Eric Weider
MikeJ vs GunnerC
General Staff vs fast Heinz
Conao vs Tiberius
Please report ASAP

With the tourney complete, I am going to open up the "secure" forums that each side had to the general viewing audience.

Filed the game in WARS. Thanks for the tourney, I thought it was great though I'm one of the German officers who now finds himself in a penal battalion. It was a lot of fun.

the overall result is quite close
really a very good tournament, i enjoyed talking with the team members
my only regret is that the talking disappeared little by little

BTW - if you go to one of the sub-forums and say "where are all the threads???!!!?" .... be sure to change the thread view to "beginning" instead of the last ten days.

My AAR for Wintergewitter Vs. Dagger5:
Pound pound pound, move move.
(swear)
Move, move move, pound pound pound away at the defenses.
Lose ground here, gain a little ground there.
What, turn 37? ****! No way i can possibly win!
I Forfeit my life!

Great effort, gents!
And a great result, as well! We were hoping it would come out with some semblence of balance, and it sure seemed to!
I hope you all enjoyed being a part of it, and thanks for all your input!

FYI - the tourney threads have now been integrated into the main forum. We need to clear sub-forum space for future events!
