Wow, just had a game-end report go against me for 13 points. What will I do with myself? How can I go on? This is just outrageous.

After much trouble my opponent has twice, consecutively surrendered out of a game that had commenced.

I had to chase this opp. constantly to get a turn back and when I did get one I would have to resend it so he could close it. Good thing my turns were one open one close, hence I could actually keep track of what turn it was in each of the games!

My opponent accepted a Kursk game in which I had made a custom map. As well, I was a Soviet commander crossing open ground at 1.2 to 1 odds; yes an assault at less than the 3-1 traditional game setting.

My opp had access to air; fortifications; mines and dragon's teeth; unlimited arty; Panthers Tigers Mk 4's and 3's as well as anything else that came to mind and with no requirement that he limit the purcahsing of any of those items. Nor should I fail to mention he has hills behind each trench line and as well a town to hide in.

Amazingly enough my opponent discontinues the game; did I assign air or arty on the setup as I was player one - No i did not.
did I assign air or arty at any point without being fired on or without having a target in my line of sight - no i did not. Did I assign single air attacks to super-manage my resources - no I send them out in gaggles. They even die in gaggles just like my tanks when I send them into the wrong spots. Hey what do I care I love the game so much I'd even walk into the college library without pants if I had to to get my email pbem turns!! But it would be cold.

Yet somehow I am some devious miscreant who has sold an opponent a tank battle yet somehow failing along the way to point out it was a tank battle .. !!! and along the way I completely forgot to buy more than one company of T-34's. As well, I completely forgot to keep the infantry to tank ration at less than 1-1. Worse yet, I bought no off-map arty. Should I mention at this point that the light tanks were in the majority - the T-60 and T-anything but 34's I bought are apparently a menace to Tigers and 88mm guns who sit without any AA protection because my opponent clearly wears general stripes and believes that 88mm can 'Direct' fire and 'AA' fire without impairment.

I guess not.

But don't it bite. According to the club rules of WHQ-AG an opponent relinquishing a game surrenders at Decisive victory odds.

Sure I reported our game of 5 turns [good thing I open and close only once or I would not know what turn we are on - apparently there is a screen that states the turn and game time etc .. i just couldn't pass up an opportunity to mention this failing of my opponent.]

My esteemed opponent reported a non-game; one that does not exist nor has a map been made for it as a tie. :surprise:
Well you know Lone-Wolf when you start your competition up there in the rosy future I hope you don't bail out each time a player kicks your butt.
Clearly, you need a little more than just the 13 points for the "F a k e" game end report you posted.

I took the trouble to write DD about it and either he doesn't care or he is busy; you can tie up his line with your :blab: if you want I don't give a :whist: !

And by the way pal: you are at WHQ-AG not TheBlitz. So I won't be following you around to catch up on your latest  "oh the game just isn't fair dilemma's ... "

Bad experiences can ruin a fun game.

I just DL'd SPWAW 8.2 and upgraded it to 8.3

We're already playing SPMBT and I'll accept the loss that's coming my way with all the grace I can manage.

But above anything else, I'm a WW2 freak. Lemme know whenever you want to play a SPWAW pbem. How else will I learn the game other than to jump right in :D?

East Front, West Front or Med. I'll take either side.

Who says you can't play more than one game at once?

Now I gotta get on the ladder.....

Ya that bites I guess. I stopped playing ladder games years ago.
I found alot of peeps take them way to seriously, some even cheat to further thier wonderous record on the ladder* ,lol.

If there is to be no record of the game giving somebody a win or a loss, then the game can happen without hangups and fun can be had.

*I'm refering to the Blitz Steel Panthers Ladder from several years ago.

I took the trouble to write DD about it and either he doesn't care or he is busy; you can tie up his line with your :blab: if you want I don't give a :whist: !I have the email. Unfortunately, early last week I found myself without a job and a family to feed. As this takes priority I have gotten considerably behind my duties here and on my own Combat-Campaigns Website. :o The job search seems to be looking up this week so I hope to have some time to catch up beginning early next week. We will see.
