I had the chance to play this game about a month ago. It was in beta, obviously, but I think I was able to get a good idea of the gameplay.

In short, the game sucked.

The whole game was just like walking down a tunnel (an admittedly good looking tunnel) and shooting pop-up targets. Naturally, you could take several bullets before you went down. But the gist of it is that you have no choices in anything you do. You HAVE to go through that door with all the baddies behind it. You HAVE to turn that corner and take out the ten guys there.

It's NOT a cross between FSW and, say, Rainbow 6. It is very much a version of Rainbow 6 that takes place in the MidEast. There's very little command and control involved here - don't think that you can order your team around with any kind of effectiveness.

There wasn't really anything to set this game apart from any other game of the genre I've played. If real Marines were involved in the development, I don't know what they helped out with, as the uniforms and weapons still looked pretty awful.
