View Full Version : Is there an interest for PzC tournament?
As the titles states, if I or someone else were to organize a tournament for the series, would you participate?
Poll open for 30 days.

I would, but not until the end of February since I'm moving and troubled times come ahead... :nervous:
Maybe a May Kharkov game to commemorate the offensive, or even a June Normandy game...
Yes but my participation would depend on a few factors. Scenario size and real life, I think I would be better able to participate a bit later in the year too. :D

Yes, but only if it happened later in the year when I don't have so many games going on. Maybe something timed to coincide with the D-Day anniversary.
I believe it would be beneficial to hold one, if we do, when there is not TOAW tournament going on.
We now have about 20 members registered into our ladder. I would love to see more and eventually get a small tourney going just to get the feeling. Opinions? Thoughts?
Sounds good to me.
Would the tourney be focused on one title or multiple? I suspect a lot of people are like me in that they have several of the titles but not all. I have a big stack of games, but I am missing a few of the more popular ones like Smolensk and Bulge.
Modern Campaigns or PzC?
Mirror games?
I've never played in any kind of tournament, so I'm fishing for info.
No matter how it's set up, I'm in.

I think mirror games refers to you are assigned a scenario - you play one side first -- then after that is over you play the same scenario - but switch sides.
I er, um never have joined the ladder - am not positive I know the system well enough as I need to get back into the flow. . . but may be doing that shortly...

I've played a couple of mirror games. Played simultaneously - first a turn as side A, then a turn as side B, then email them to your opponent. You have to switch back and forth between linebacker mode and QB mode. It's a good way to determine who's the victor. There are some scenarios that are so unbalanced that you'd need a tactical nuke to win. DannyBou and I played one from ME67 that was like that. I had the Israelis and there wasn't much he could do, given what he had to work with.
By all means join the PzC ladder. The more the merrier around here!

My thoughts would be leaning towards one game of PzC a mirror of course. As for the title, could take a concensus of what games the ladder members have and pick one that everyone has.

Yes Steve, the more, the better.

I have Sicily and El-Alamein but I'm struggling to find the time to get to grips with them. That said, I'd play in a tourney, should motivate me a bit :D
