I was trying to create a new scenario and I ran into a few problems. Korea '85 is the game. I created my OOB, and the map, and all the little details. I even playtested it against the AI.

Problems:

1)I tried to create an M1A2. The unit worked fine, but no picture. I wanted to put the picture for the M1, but I don't know how.

2)Same for Bradley mounted infantry.

3)It started snowing in June!

This is a small scenario pitting a US armored brigade against a reinforced NK division. My first try at a scenario, and other than the problems mentioned, it did ok. Any tips/help would be much appreciated.

I assume you called the component "M1A2" and it is a US only unit?

In any case, the image that is used for a component "M1A2" will be the image \Units\M1A1.bmp

and there will be one under American and one under South Korean ect ect for each nation which would have the unit.

> 2)Same for Bradley mounted infantry.

Same as above.

> 3)It started snowing in June!

Under scn header you set the MIN and MAX weather conditions and also there is control under the Weather.DAT file for support with Programmed Weather - this might have an effect too.

Yeah, I named it M1A2 and set all the values for it. It functioned fine, but I don't know how to install a picture. It is a US only unit. I found all the .bmp files, but I'm lost from there. Where in the help files does it tell you how to completely create a new unit?

OK

Copy a file called "M1A2.bmp to the folder:

C:\Program Files\HPS Simulations\North German Plain '85\American\Units

...assuming this is a NGP scn and your game is installed on the C Drive.

The file name must be EXACT - make sure you don't have a space in the name and especially at the END of the Component name.

The DOCs are MCOOB.HLP or DOC buth there is no file library for images not shipped with the game nor is there any docs outlining how to create or re-size the imge for the game. Anyway - as long as the BMP file with the same names as the component exists in the Nations units folder ( ... \\American\Units .. in the case of your US units) and everything will work OK.
