Ive just picked up the anthology pack for £9.99 at Virgin. Good price.

I own the first two but Ive given them away and bought this instead.

The only poblem is that CMBB doesnt install. The disk just keeps spinning........damn it

That is a good price - got mine when it first came out for twice that. Not that I've ever actually used it - I'm not really sure why I bought it, expect perhaps to loan out to potential new converts - it's sat on my shelf next to my other copies of the CM series.

As for the install - is that something to do with the crappy CDV protection malarkey?

My copy of CM:BB is the CDV one and it spins for ages, and ages, and ages... It might do something if you walk away and come back to it - I know how annoying it can be. I must get hold of an original copy of CM:BB and avoid this problem forever.

Thank God I got the other 2 from overseas...

Have you tried making a copy of the disk and then trying to use the copied "back-up" disk? I use that instead of the original so it won't get scratched up.

Is that the collection that doesn't require the CDs in the drive while playing.

(Except of course the CMAK 1.03 path reintroduces that requirement :dead: ).

It's a CDV-labelled anthology, so I doubt it. Haven't tried actually...

I disabled ZoneAlarm and everything went well.

Just installed Tarkus interface mod. So it looks so much better:)

Had a quick go and realised why I stopped playing it.

The 3D gets to me everytime. What should take a couple of minutes ends up taking forever as I try and move around the terrian. I have to replay the last minute of each turn about 6 times to get some idea of what happened. Worse in built up scenarios. I want to like the game but it looks like I will go back to SB.

Are you using the optional coloured unit bases? I've found this essential to keep track of my units. Also, I use camera position 4 most of the time which I find ideal for up to medium maps sizes. These should make life a lot easier for you especially as I found much the same problem when I first acquired the original game :)

Especially for those of you outside North America who favor historical over political correctness, you will want to check out this site:

http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Arena/8461/mod.htmlThanks for posting that - I have been using the anti-censorship loader for CM:BB for a while now, it irks me that the game was ever altered in this way.

I even started a thread on this very topic a while back...

I have downloaded the anit cencorship patch. Thanks

Yes I use unit bases. Funny thing is wish these were toned down just a little. Very NEON. However I realise Im complaining about something that helps me out with my other complaint!!
