Off to Afghanistan for 1yr

I just got word recently that I am deploying to Afghan for 1 year. Unfortunately, I will not be able to play TOAW while I am there, and I know I am playing some pretty intense games right now.

Russian Tournament, I should finish the first phase, for Dicke and I have 1 1/2 turns left. Once finish I will withdraw from Phase II and III (sorry).

With the short time I have left ( I leave in Jan 05), I will continue to play the other 3 games I am involved with but I doubt I can finish them.

With preparations and getting my family settled, I have much on my mind.
It has been great playing with some great people, and I truly enjoyed every game, and the lessons I learned from them.

You were truly great opponent in our game of Fire in the East 4.1 and you put a good, brave fight, my nerves would snap if I have been through all of this like you have been on Russian side :nuts:

Maybe I'll write an AAR but you deserve special mention as outstanding opponent and I truly wish you the best - you are, I am sure good soldier in real life - you wouldn't be in '82 airborne for nothing - so you will put a good fight everywhere like in TOAW and I mean it.

No, to conserve space, we have that feature set to 'off' as a default. The amount of PMs the staff can receive is astonishing... :D (And I was getting sick of clicking 'no' 10000 times per month) :laugh:
