Advice for newbie

Right, finally got Combat mission 2 and the original combat mission installed. and I`m trying to reaquaint myself with these great games.

First question, I`ve just see in the "screenshots" discussion that one of the screenshots had a grid/contours overlayed on the map. Is that a standard feature? Where? Would really help in checking for LOS at a glance and hull down positions.

One other question, what scenarios would be recommended (in both games) for the beginner?

Gridded terrain is a graphic mod you may be able to find a CM HQ as a CMMOS mod.

As for beginning scenarios in CMBO The Tutorial is a Great beginner scenario it is small but employs excellent combined arms tactics.

Also Combat! is another good BO scenario.

CMBB I am not so sure about. Perhaps some help from our other knowledgable members!
