Which CMBO vehicle is your favorite? Why?

Who is looking forward to the T34/85... :D

It should be interesting. The t34/85 was an excellent tank in terms of armor, firepower and cross country performance.
However, the t34 series had small cramped two man turrets which hampered it's engagement performance somewhat, and had inferior optics to it's German counterparts so I wonder how CMBB will model this.
I believe most of the 34 series lacked radio comm as well but I'm not sure of the /85. In any case I'm sure mass numbers of these would be unpleasant to face.

The tank I think will be truly daunting is the 'conquering beast' as named by the German troops. I think it was the su152 (or jsu152?). The Germans had the Brumbar, a short 150mm AG but unfortunately wasn't in CMBO.

For me it's the good old Tiger I. I don't think it's the best tank around, but I just love the box-like layout of the hull, it gives it a sort of menacing, invincible look. No fancy frills on Tigers, no sleek slopes... just honest steel plate armour. More like a WW1 landship, a sort of mobile fortress that moves slowly but inexhorably towards the enemy. (I guess it must be my age, I'm getting to like the slow vehicles more and more :tired: )

I'm a sucker for the AVRE Churchill. Just watching that dustbin soar through the air, land and then obliterate everything round about it, a truly John Smiths experience!

(Sorry only folks in the UK will get that one, if at all!);)

I love the British Daimler armored car. 4 wheels and a turret small compaired to a puma. But ive never lost a daimler to a puma in a slugfest. It also just looks cool.Good....Bad....Im the soviet with the pointed stick.

so many good vehicles,,i cant just pick ONE favorite:) . I love the Stuart for its roadrunner like abilities (bang, bang bang,.....meep meep.... woosh>>>>>>>>). I am also a fan of the Tiger...It has its weak points but the aura around it can be very intimidating to many an opponent. I also love the Marder II for various reasons I wont get into ;) . Really looking forward to trying out some Russian armour. I dont think i'll be able to resist launching a massed T-34 attack at the first opportunity:nofear:

Would have to go with the Panther on the Germans side, (although expensive in the game) and The T34/85 on the Russians side. Both are well designed with good slope on the armor and a good gun. Probably the two best designed tanks of the war.

OK lets turn this around as we seem to have a fairly large concensus in te Tiger/Panther/T34/85 area.

What's the worst vehicle?

My own personal favourite is the flame halftrack, jeez what a waste of time that is. Every time I try and use it gets nuked before it even fires a blast.

flame halftracks are tricky.. IMHO, the best way to use them is to keep them hidden during an attack until the moment you need them,,then boot them forward while your infantry suppresses the enemy infantry so it can then cause mass panic with a few bursts. Worst vehicle by far would half to be the mortar halftrack i think...i dont think ive ever seen someone use one when given the option.

The British Wasp Flamthrower Carrier. Now that is the worst vehicle ive ever played. Can't do anything with it. Its probably the operator.

On another subject, does anyone know if their will be onboard rocket trucks in CM2

Everybody who malignes flame-throwing halftracks obviously never has been on the receiving end, yet. I too couldn't figure how to use them properly, but when I lost an entire SS company to a single devilish Wasp (even though 2 Tigers were attempting to put a halt to its murderous rampage, but boy, the thing is fast!) I certainly developed a healthy respect for them.
I do agree with Maddog, though. The Mortar halftracks are of hardly any use, actually they are worse than infantry mortars since they need direct LOS to fire (even then mine usually refuse to do so). They could have their uses if only they carried a larger load of smoke ammo ...

Oops, I meant to agree with ThorsHammer, of course!
PS: A Schreck a day keeps the Shermans at bay :p

It only takes one panzerfaust to end that rampage. Hell i lose it to small arms fire most of the time.

The Greyhound is the most fun to play and the most rewarding when you get it right (including the necessary element of luck). It's fast for runs around the end and into the rear. It has a high rate of fire and a fast turret. It's gun is powerful enough to take out Panzer IV's from the side or the rear. Perhaps most important is that you usually get more than one, which gives some forgiveness for mistakes.

The Stuart is similar. It is not as fast, but has better armor.
